MRT V2.0

I've read many reviews of the MRT axle-back exhaust but wanted to hear from people who have actually used this exhaust whether it's a good exhaust or if I should go for another one. I don't want the exhaust to be too loud with drone and such but I want it to sound good and offer some performance gains.

MRT 2.0 one of the top sellers for axle back systems. Great sound, some drone, but it never bothered me. Most of the drone was eliminated after my header install along with the Magnaflow resonated X pipe.

Pair it up with a x pipe and some high flow cats, and it will sound even better.

I just swapped my MRT V2s for a pair of L99 mufflers. I got tired of the drone at cruising speeds. But they sounded great at other times.
I am loving the L99s, loud on acceleration with no rasp but fairly quiet with a burble at cruising speeds 65-75mph.

Hello,
I put on an MRT V2 and I LOVED the sound outside. Inside with tach between 1600 to 2000 there was pronounced drone BUT i have read a bunch of post here and alot of people say give it some miles and it will mellow out and even better add the Magnaflow x pipe for a good combo.
Having said that I am going to do more research and am leaning towards a Solo system.
I will sell my MRT V2 for 400 plus shipping and it is in the original packing, has apx 45 miles on it. It is a beautiful looking , well made system and if its what you want that is at least 150 savings over new.
Thanks

If it's the drone you're worried about, I've heard a Hemholtz tube could solve your issues. I've had the system for about 6 months and even though the drone has mellowed out over time, it's still pretty annoying. I just need to find a muffler shop around me that will do this.

Also referred to as "J pipe". Read more here:
