When I first went to the dealer. I originally expected to purchase a Z/28 model. So, obviously I had to purchase the 2SS LS3 etc... I am very, very happy with it... Damn thing is quick........ I tend to hold on to my cars for a long time and I take care of them. I still have my 1982 C-3 Corvette. only 70,000 miles But it doesn't have the get and go like the Camaro does. Damn thing is Quick........ So, if its paid off, or there abouts. I will keep it for a long time. But, If I get the chance to upgrade to a Z/28 real soon. I will sell it. And purchase the Z/28. That I will hold on too... Hers my girl... She likes to flirt, But, don't get any ideas.

[QUOTE=LS3 SS;1916112]I do believe I will keep mine. It is my first new car that I actually had built for me, so it does have sentimental value to me.QUOTE]

I concur, its my first high performance car, or any car for that matter, that I ordered. Its not as flashy as some I have seen on here but it has exactly what I want in it. Some people I know that just went to the dealer and bought off the floor are already wanting a 2011 "HUD". I will keep mine thank you.

This is my 12th camaro and I love it, but if the z/28 comes and is not out of range, price wise, I will trade up.

I find this a very interesting question. I have never owned a car more than ten years. Had a 1986 Monte Carlo SS for 10 years, and had a 1996 Impala SS for 10 years. Ask me again around 2020. I should make my mind by then. Should have about 100k on the odometer by then too.

Sell ?

That's kind of an unfair question for me. I typically don't sell my cars.

My 2nd ride is a 2000 Jeep Wrangler 4x4 convertible. I've had it since new (factory order just like my Camaro) and plan on keeping it forever since I love it and the after-market is pretty strong, just like the Camaro's.

Before the Jeep I had a 1989 Mazda for 12 years. I bought it new from the dealer network. Eventually I gave that to charity for a nice tax credit before the IRS ruined the tax benefit of donating a car.

Motorcycles I've traded in for newer/better models, but I always got raped on the deal. Lesson learned.

I think I'll be keeping the LS quite a few years or at least until my son becomes of driving age in 10 or so years.... I regretted getting rid of two cars my 68 327 Camaro and 67 GTO

I sold my second gen to get this fifth gen and even though I do miss my 75 4 Speed Muncie equipped V8 350, I really prefer my 2LT for daily driving. WIth my new 6 Speed manual, the fantastic handling and modern safety features I love driving it every day! I will probably trade her in in a few years against an SS convertible, once my tweeny kids are no longer needing lots of stuff hauled about in this coupe, it really is quite versatile!

I will end up keeping at least 1 Camaro in the family, but if I make enough cash in the next few years I will seek out another second gen, probably my favorite year 70 1/2!

All the best!

Used 75 Camaro = $3500
Rolling restoration over 10 years = $5000
$5 of gas burned in 10 seconds = Priceless!
