I don't even know where Greenville is, but if your asking about Sugar land, thats 30 mins out from downtown Houston.

On many of the wide open stretches of interstate in the west, there is no reason cars like the Camaro/Mustang/Challenger, or a lot of other cars couldn't go 100 or even 120. They do it in Germany in places that have more traffic. I've always figured it would be like adding two days to my vacations out west every summer.

I guess the only problem would be it wouldn't work for the people who insist on having trucks and big SUVs as daily drivers.

Sorry I don't get it...they race trucks in the NASCAR circuits and 18 wheel type trucks in other races I've seen on the tube...

Makes sense as safe as todays cars are and the fuel economy of say a C6 corvette is around 30 at 75 and at 85 only drops a couple MPG so money saved on the time saved. Learn from what Europe does GOOD, not what they do BAD (like health care).

I really like driving in Europe. They immediately pull over to the right hand lane for faster traffic and stay there until they want to pass!

The "trucks" in NASCAR are purpose built races cars with a fiberglass shell that vaguely resembles the body of a truck. Real trucks and SUV's simply aren't built for speed, either aerodynamically or chassis-wise. 100-120 in a Camaro would be leisurely, but could you imagine trying to do that in a Hummer, or Jeep Wrangler, or heavy duty pickup?
