my regrettably short Woodward visit
Alright, I will admit that I was only able to stop by Woodward for a few hours, because I had to start drinking at the NASCAR race by 1pm saturday. Woodward was only 100 miles out of my way, but it was worth it.
But here is what I got. Check the album for my videos and all my pics, I will post a few here to show you what i have. http://s87.photobucket.com/albums/k1...007/?start=all Hopefully that link will send you directly to my photo album from the weekend. There are two videos from the convertible tent worth mentioning Granted this is only a pretty girl with :tweetz: talking, so i dont believe anything she says. but will point them out anyway. Camaro2 video: She says IF an SS and Z28 came out it would be a year after the convertible release. take for what its worth. Camaro1 video: She says it WILL NOT be an LS7 because that is in the ZO6 take for what its worth. The volt was a cool looking car too, quite abit smaller than the convertible though. We were stuck behind a rope so could not get very close. Bumblebee thoughts: I hate the regular headlights in this car, I need the Halo's. Bumblebee was definitly a GTO made over, the inside of that car is ROUGH, made just for the movie. This has been told before, but the Wheels looked cool because there were no calipers, well it was with out a doubt because they were large intricate hub caps, yes, Bumblebee was riding on hubs. Other cars in album worth mentioning, Pontiac G8, Cadillac XLR Cop Car, the solstice from tranformers, an old school looking Holden, ZO6, 427 Silverado, a Duck (floating bus??) Please ask questions if you have any, i doubt i have the answers. Check out my album to see every pic and video. Dont mind the shitty rained out Nascar pics. again check the link for quick videos and addtional pics |

I was told that the Coupe was not in the area, I was extremely upset about this.

Yea,
it is a pretty bad looking rig. It would be nice to have, but not something GM would make a profit on. |

Actually, GM didn't make that....
This was done for the SEMA show....I think it was someone like West Coast Customs (or another shop like them) that created this sweet ride....although, they used strictly GM Performance Parts to do it, so technically, GM could build it. Really though, GM should do it. Sure it's similar to a Roush or even a Saleen with the 'Stangs, but so what....offer it up as an option (at any dealer rather than "authorized dealers only"--like Roush and Saleen) and when they get ordered, send them out to be outfitted correctly by an outside shop then shipped to the appropriate dealer for delievery. It's been done before, by GM nonetheless....they did it with the Firehawk Firebirds....those were sent out to SLP for their upgrades then shipped to the dealership. I think they should do it.
