My DD is a 2000 Olds Bravada. It's hard not to take the Camaro on nice sunny days, but my drive is nothing but idiots on I-69 who cannot drive and could care less about their cars let alone mine. Also I work in a very high traffic building and in my time there have seen a snow plow take out a co-workers car as well as the lawn crew run into someone's car with a zero turn. My decision is easy when I look at it like that.

I follow those guidelines and keep her clean as much as possible and your car can stay show ready anytime!
Already do all of the above

We both work together at the same place we drive my husbands 2011 GMC Denali Crewcab Truck to work. My Camaro is garage kept I drive it on weekends and to meets/shows or to work if I need to leave early occasionally .. It's our (my) toy because kids are grown and busy . It's really hard to leave for work on a beautiful day and walk past it in the garage
I find myself saying to the Camaro " I'll take you for spin when I get home" ... Lol
Heaven help me if I ever here a reply ...

I don't drive mine just because I don't have to. I keep mine covered in a climate controlled garage thats an hour away. My daily driver is no dog so its almost as much fun to drive and can hold its own. 2011 Colorado 4x4 5.3l 300hp with 4.10 gears.

I've won one independent car show and I've gotten class winner awards at Super Chevy for two years running and my car is a daily driver. A daily driver can look like a showcar / weekend warrior if you just maintain it appropriately.

Having tasteful appearance mods always helps too.

You bought to drive and enjoy. So do so. It's not like it's an ultra rare or expensive car. It's a damn Camaro

Can't I just go to a show for the comraderie and friendship? I don't care about winning anything. As a matter of fact, I'm driving my trophy to the show. I promise to clean it up but it gets driven every day, summer and winter, so it will not look like it just came from the showroom. I love to check out all the beautifully prepared cars but mine will just not look like that.

So.....am I welcome or not?

For me it's mostly about keeping the fun factor. If I limit myself to only driving on the weekends, it's like a "treat" to drive it. If I drove it daily it wouldn't feel as special. I also like to keep the mileage low and it's easier to keep clean and in good shape. But it's no garage queen either. It gets taken to shows and cruises, but also the drag strip, autocross, and occasional road course.

No. GTFO. Only lofty standards, attention to minute details, and anal retentiveness are allowed here.

... I need to stop being such a hypocrite, man. I am super nitpicky and anal about my Camaro.

Yes, as long as it is clean when you show up still in good shape. It doesn't need to be showroom new for a local car show. But for some reason here in Georgia people think cars with rattle can paint jobs, mismatched body panels, and PepBoys stereo systems are show cars.

I probably got one of the lowest mileage 2010's on the forum, sitting at 2500 miles on it, got it July, 2010 (so that averages out to about 120 miles a month). Course I am in Canada so it's parked 6 to 7 months out of the year.

I take it out a couple times a week (to work) and got for some cruises on the weekends, nights here and there. I also never take it to any parking lots, etc. The black paint doesn't help any cause I swear the wind alone causes swirl marks/light scratches.

That being said, I am planning to get it out more this summer, it's a waste paying for a car that sits in the garage.

You can do both. I drive mine daily. Its cleaner than the day i picked it up inside and out. I do shows and drag runs. I beat garage queens at shows often. 16k miles on my 2011.
