So just took my 1le in for an oil change and the service guys was like, i like the black hood and wheels" and i had to tell him it was part of the 1le performance package. How do dealership employees not know what a 1le is?

Some dealerships are that way, they don't put the 1LE on the lot. I ordered my car and they told me that I had the only 1LE they sold for 2014.

Here in Murrieta & Temecula Calif. we have more 1le Camaro than v6 Camaro driving around .

When I began contacting dealers in my area about ordering a 2014 1LE several of them had issues. Probably 3 of the 6 I contacted couldn't find the 1LE/SS Performance Package with their order sheet program until I told them it was manual only. One kept insisting to me that it didn't exist until I sent them a PDF from Chevrolet about it. The dealer who gave me the best deal already had several on their lot so they knew what was what.

It's amazing how no one in the car sales business knows anything about what they are selling. It doesnt matter where you go, or what brand you choose. No one knows shit.

I still explain what a lightning is and about its build. The funny thing is many lightning owners dont know about their trucks. Cracks me up.

And now all over again with my 1le.

But when I bought my 1le, I bought it from a dealer who had several, and the salesman knew very well what it was. He didnt sell me on the car. He sold me on where I was going to buy it.

The service manager at my dealer is so out of it that I took my 1LE in for a warranty issue and he gave me a print out of a service bulletin on the Z28...

Half the people there think its a Z28, the other half think its a ZL1, none of them have a clue what a 1LE is....

Yes it does happen in Cali. I went to 5 lots and only 1 knew what I was talking about. Everybody else think Im talking about a ZL1 and one even had a Hot Red 1LE on the showroom and I mention it and he thought it was a regular SS.

If they think its a Z/28 let them know its missing a few cubic inches and see if they install a LS7 for you.

I had the same thing happen while it was getting its first oil change at a Chevy dealership near Atlanta. They didn't know what the "1LE" was. Its like working at Burger King and not knowing what the "Whopper" is.
