when do you think build and price will be available

Just curious with lots of people ordering and since the 5th gen is no more I wonder when they will get rid of the build and price for the 2015 and update it for the 2016. There are lots of different options etc I want to see before I commit to buy. I will also be waiting for supplier discount but would like to play around with different configurations to build my perfect Camaro 2SS.

The 2015 Camaro production in Oshawa ends on November 20th. The web site historically lags the showroom.

There are links in the forum here with the Online Options and pricing that should help you get pretty close to a final configuration and price.

Chevy will stop building the 2015 on November 20th and begin building the 2016 the week of October 5th? Doesn't make much sense, does it?

Unless you plan to order certain wheels, or the 6 piston brakes or some other LPO (dealer installed) items, using the information on this forum, sticky'd in the ordering section, you should be able to get very close the price of your preferred build.

Yeah that seems silly to me as well. Not sure why this is, has to be some reason for it...but to purchase a 2015 you better be getting a very good price, otherwise might as well just wait for 2016, unless you are looking at a ZL1 right now, which the 5th gen is the only way to go right now.

Thanksgiving Weekend. At least I think that has been my answer each time this question comes up. Build and price is part of the Marketing section and always ends with an offer to find what you have built at a dealership near you. So until a fair number of builds have been dealer delivered there is no need to search and since Marketing is interested, well, uh, in marketing, there is no need (from their point of view) to activate it before it can do its job.

Not what you wanted to read, but there it is.

Yeah who is buying a 2015 right now, even at huge discounts. I was originally going to buy a 2015, but after the 2016 announcement I couldn't do it, the interior upgrade is too huge on the 2016. I guess there are a lot of people that just go to car lots and buy cars, so they probably wouldn't even know a new camaro is coming out.

Why not? They're built at two different factories. The 5th gen is still selling pretty well and there are many people that don't mind getting the older one. The 2015 also comes with the 5yr/100k mile warranty that GM discontinued for 2016.

Also, most people don't even know a new car is coming for '16...

While the online configurator still doesn't show any prices, the price is out for all but the LPO items, and hopefully those aren't too hard to estimate.

In that spirit, here is my build:

$ 41300 (2ss)
$ 995 (freight/delivery)
$ 895 (dual mode exhaust)
$ 500 (adrenaline red interior)
$ 15 (front licence plate)
$ 395 (garnet red)
$ 1695 (magnetic ride control)
$ 200 (gray machined split spoke)
$ 900 (sunroof)

Total from the factory:
$ 46895

Dealer installed options, LPO (based on last year's price, or a guesstimate):
$ 155 - Floor Mats
$ 60 - Cargo Net
$ 300 - Illuminated Bowtie

Subtotal:
$ 47410

TTL@3.25%, grand total:
$ 48951

The dealership near my house is seeing the 'rabbit effect', where Gen 5 Camaros of all trims, colors and exterior options are increasing in number everyday. It appears Chevy may be forcing out units to the dealers in an attempt to liquidate remaining 2015 inventory. Although the pricing doesn't reflect any real desire to move units.

If i was interested I would go in and hit them with a real low ball offer. Never know what they might take to move a car.
