I had these on my car for everyday driving....hence the reason I eventually sold them! It's not so much the wheels that are the problem, it's the associated tires. Front bias-ply skinnies and a super-soft Drag Radial don't really make a "practical" combination for street-driving!!!

Negatives:
(1) Can't drive long distances (tires wear down too fast)
(2) Cornering speeds drastically reduced
(3) Braking effectiveness drastically reduced
(4) Unsafe to drive on wet roads
(5) Unsafe on grooved highway roads
(6) Unsafe at prolonged interstate speeds
(7) Expect tires to only last probably 7-8,000 miles

Positives:
(1) Look completely Bad-@$$!!!
(2) Excellent rear dry traction
(3) Light-weight (big reduction in rotating mass)
(4) Superb set-up for the drag strip

Now, you could improve the "street-ability" if you were to buy 18" wheels, and run NT555R in the rear and a wider regular street radial in the front. That would prolong your tire life and handling, but it cuts down on some of the rear traction capabilities, adds a little more weight, and is not quite as good for the drag strip. There's even a few guys running these wheels now in 20". Very good for the street, but pretty darn expensive!!! It's a "give and take" situation. As the saying goes, "you can't have your cake and eat it too!!!"

That being said, if I had it to do over again, I wish I would have kept my 17" Welds!!! I miss them!!!

Good meeting you to, Looks like Ryan has your car running good, You just need some traction.. Yea my car was running good, Just need to get the rear end fixed this week so i can hook all that power up again.

From the looks of Ryan's car you don't need a SC just put the 3.91's in and a VVT cam and let Ryan tune it. He's running with the SC cars..

Here, I'll save you over $300 right now!!! How about just under $1700 (shipped), for 17x10 and 17x5 polished.

I only paid $94 more going through Summit, got the polish in 3 days, race mart was going to be 3 weeks because they don't stock them.

That's not a bad deal either. I guess it just depends on what they have in stock at the time.

That's why I decides to go with Summit, Race mart had no idea when they would get them shipped, Summits a big company, I'm sure Weld caters to them.. Ended up getting a good price used on the forum anyway.

Love some of these pics guys, cars look great!
I'm 100% going with Welds, but I'm just waiting to see when (really, if) M&H comes up with a 28" radial front runner.
