Thought I would share my exp at Laguna Seca last weekend....

Car handled awesome. Check out the YouTube write up for my mods and info.

I will put up another video of another session where I had the camera behind the front driver side tire.....

Btw, I spent some time adding annotations in the video but I guess they don't show up on the iPad. So bust out the adobe able PC for the full scoop on the track and my times, etc.

I'll likely add more notes on my lines etc. later.

Great video! Can you tell me more about your mic placement? I will be doing Laguna Seca on the 3rd. Trying to get the GoPro and the mic placement set before I go.

I grew up there playing video games, hahaha. No, I've never been there. It was my 3rd day ever doing a HPDE. I did 2 days at Buttonwillow a few months back. I HAVE had 2 seasons of autocross under my belt from back in 2003 -2004 (american auto-x not the tight cheapy little autocrosses people are used to seeing).

I can snap some pics of where I put them, PM me your cell or email. Do you have a mixer for multiple microphones?

I would suggest you watch Laguna seca crash videos too so you know what areas gobble up cars and what turns you should be respecting. Some people come out of 3 and crash into the inside wall because they hit the dirt and held their wheel with a slight right tilt hoping to get back on the track. Even at 60-75 mph your car can fly into the wall quick there.

Don't brake after the corkscrew when your in that long downhill sweeping left. People loose control there braking and plus you should be taking that turn much wider than I was.

Be smooth out there, jamming on the brakes or turning hard there without sticky tires will get you in trouble fast there. I saw spin-outs almost every session from underpowered imports.

Smooth driving! Glad to see some people out there actually using their Camaros for what they are meant to be used for. Always givin the imports a run for their money!

I love that track. I was hoping to get back out there before the rain but that's not looking too likely.

Who did you run with? The only time I see spinouts is with race groups that will let anyone out there whether they have experience or not. The last time I was there I left after 2 sessions because there were too many car parts and too much litter on the track. Sucked big time.

Handful of spin outs, seemed like a real mix of amateurs and more advanced folks. The people that put it on we're http://citytechautobody.com/track_days/

The photographer said they were on the lower quality participant groups out there. The organizers were somewhat organized but speed ventures seemed a bit more caring to ensure that everyone was pointing everyone by, etc.
