Buttery Waxes

I have been looking at some of the buttery waxes out there, mainly Adams and Chemical Guys, has anyone used them? What are the pro's and con's?

Funny, I want popcorn now.

Not bad but not great either. You would be much better off getting something like collonite #845 if your looking for a good budget friendly durable wax.

Buttery Wax from Adams looks amazing, but only right after you've applied and wears off too quickly IMO. Their Americana product while more expensive is one of the best waxes out there, but it's a different kind of product. (Apples and oranges if you will)

I will still use a heavy coat of Butter on my front fascia from time to time to help in heavy bug season.

Can't you use the Adams sealant > 1 or 2 coats of buttery > then the Americana to top it off?

There would be absolutely no point in using buttery wax in this situation. It wouldn't add anything to the party.

Buttery wax is for... Well I guess for people who HAVE to have Adam's but can't afford or don't want to pay for Americana. It's really kind of a red headed stepchild. I can't think of a single use for it.

Oh, I thought it gave a more depth/wet look before you did the other.

Edit: Ugh I was thinking of Brilliant Glaze, not buttery...

Yes, glaze will give you what you want.

Are you saying you'd do it another way with other products? As in you would you glaze then seal then wax? or Seal then wax then glaze?

Also what waxes have worked well on your Camaro? I'm looking to pick up a new one, I'm almost out of Americana and want something new.

Adam's is the only company I've ever heard of that recommends glaze over sealant. Every other company tells you to glaze first, then seal over it to lock it in.

Try Blackfire Midnight Sun or CG Pete's 53 for paste waxes.
