Unhappy Engine stall after fueling. P0496 Code.

Hello all, I have a 2011 v6, completely stock. It has around 161,000 miles and I have a check engine light and code P0496. Every time I put fuel even if im not filling it up completely it stalls out. Immediately after I turn the key I have to tap the gas pedal for it to stay on. After a couple taps it wont stall and drives perfectly. I do feel it decreased in power since this problem has started. I replaced the gas cap and purge valve and still having the same problem if anything it is getting worse. Any ideas on what it can be? A few months ago I spent around 4k on getting the head gasket replaced so I dont really have the $$$ to be taking my car to mechanics just for a diagnostic, so any suggestions that I can check would be helpful. Thanks in advance

Check all your evap lines and connections for a possible leak, or crack.
