Camaro Insurance rates are increasing with GEICO

I just learned that the cost of insurance on a Camaro is increasing with GEICO. I was told that since the claims are coming in and it is costing more to repair these cars my rates were going up another $30 dollars a month. I made 1 phone call to USAA and the same coverage as GEICO in VA was $120 a month cheaper!! I increased my coverage and lowered my deductibles on 2 vehicles and still saved $80 a month. Yes thats right...I have 3 times the coverage now and SAVED $80 a month.

For anyone that has GEICO in the mid atlantic region be prepared that when your policy renews the costs are going up!

Glad I was able to re-up with them before this took place. Do you mind my asking what your premium was/changed to?

Interesting. I have Geico and mine just renewed a few weeks ago. Mine went DOWN $50 for six months.

That. Friend of mine a street over had his policy increase while mine was going down a few years back because he was in a different zip.

That's cause the assclowns that frequent General Discussions report stuff like door dings, raccoons/traffic cones hitting them or get the uncontrollable urge to turn their TC off and find the nearest guardrail with their front end. Forreal son stop parking like an ass [THAT MEANS YOU ROMELOC], step your reflex game up and pay for the small stuff on your own.

Im switching to USAA once my term with Nationwide is up. I pay 151 a month for my v6 I actually think its 18 dollars less cause I have renters insurance too. I dont have a bad record so I think its reasonable what do you guys pay if you dont mind me asking?

I was paying $200 and it went up to $230 for the camaro and a 2007 silverado. I went to USAA and the same coverage was $110. I increased my coverage so that I have 0 deductible on non collison accidents and $100 deductible on collison and pay $150/month. I had $1000 deductibles on both with Geico to get a $230/month price. I am sorry I waited so long to make the switch. That $80 savings is mod money!!!!

I know that prices are by your zip code/state and Geico said the cost of repairs is more than expected so is everyone in woodbridge/northern virginia making lots of claims? It looks more like overhead to cover those stupid commercials they have been running lately to me.
