Would you say that this is somewhat correct?

Well i was surfing the internet for camaro pricing and i ran across this.http://web.camaross.com/forums/showthread.php?t=448548 Now apparently it hasnt been updated lately but from what you see and have heard do you think that this is a good thing to go off of for pricing and options?

Those are all estimates taken when we had little actual facts... Look at the audio options, description of the Rally Sport package, and the engine options. I wouldn't use that thread at all while thinking about pricing or anything else since we have a way better picture of what is coming our way.

I spent last weekend checking out some Fo%$ dealerships ( sorry bout the F word) just checking out the price of the so called " competition". The prices i kept seeing for a mustang premium GT was inbetween 29500 and 34000. I would be willing to bet we are going to be in this range.

Those dealer tags mean nothing... if you walked into a ford dealership with $26425 in cash and told the sales manager that you wanted a mustang GT premium with no other options he would sell it to you as soon as he could get the papers written up.

Its hard to have a business case for a new mustang when slightly used mustangs (less than 2 years old and under 20k miles) are going for mid teens.. Thats what overproduction gets you.

You could get almost any car cheaper if your offering cash. All i was sayin is that these prices are what i think we will be lookin at for sticker. If it is close to what Fbodfather is saying we should be right around these numbers.

It has nothing to do with cash, it has everything to do with the fact that new car sales are in the tank and dealers are willing to take less of a profit (and yes they will profit on a mustang gt premuim at 26.5k).

Im not joking.. go in and say youd be willing to pay that, however the transaction is completed, and they will sell it to you for msrp (and even invoice).

My point is that you will be able to get a camaro v8 for less than 30k EASY and more than likely under 28k.

Cash doesn't mean anything at the dealership... they would rather have you finance it with them... it's more money in their pocket.

That post is ancient...and wrong - I do remember the "important ones" shooting it down.
