I smell coolant

Try to help me solve this. 1999 camaro ss. All stock minus headers and exhaust. 100k on the clock. I smell coolant from engine bay. No coolant on the pass floor. Does not appear to be droping coolant level on stick. I have checked under the battery at coolant bottle, no cracks. It does have a little white smoke in exhaust but not a ton. Does this sound like a head gasket? Expensive fix?

Possible head gasket, you could run a bottle of stop leak through your radiator and see if that might resolve it.

You can try and smell the exhaust (white smoke) also. It may have a bit of that same coolant smell. =headgasket

Don't run stop leak!!!!!!! Pressure test the system first and then do a leak down test.

+1... it'll cause more problems than it's worth.

What would a pressure test cost?

Depends on the kind and who you buy it from. My SnapOn pneumatic tester and truck adapter set cost me almost $400, but I use it almost daily at work.

I guess I should have been more specific. How much would you charge me if I was in your area.

You can buy a block test, pressure test, or leakdown test kit from NAPA for relatively cheap. Definitely under $100.

When I was chasing my coolant leak I bought a block tester and pressure tester, only to find out that it was sealed properly. Finally noticed a weird residue on the underside of my hood. Replaced radiator cap and no more leak. My best bet is that the cap wasn't sealing properly anymore and coolant was evaporating out, which would explain why all of my cooling system connections and tubing was always dry. Also the pressure tester I bought had a connection so you can test radiator caps, I think they're rated to hold 18 PSI? Mine wasn't holding even half of that.

I did however go and change my head and intake gaskets shortly after for safe measure, mostly because I had a hose break earlier that year and overheated the engine so wasn't sure what kind of condition they were in to begin with.
