2011 Camaro & Bluetooth...Problems anyone????
Long story short, I had a 2010 Camaro (for 3 days) and my HTC EVO worked just fine with the Bluetooth. I now have a 2011 Camaro 2LT RS and the Bluetooth does not work with my HTC EVO. I have taken it to the dealership, called GM and gotten nowhere. The bottom line is that they are telling me that my phone is not compatible with the Bluetooth (however, they did not change it from the 2010 model).
Any thoughts?

I've got an iphone so not sure it will help much but I haven't had a problem with either bluetooth connection.
Did you phone recently get an upgrade?

I have a Motorola Cliq, which has android 1.5/1.6 and it supports the bluetooth in the Camaro. I also have an old as crap Motorola that works as well. So it may actually be a phone issue. Because the bluetooth standard is just that, a standard. If one phone works, so should the rest. They use the same protocol. Try going to your cell phone dealer and have them connect it. I bet the phone just needs a good ol' reset

I have a Samsung Eternity (NEVER again) and it was NOT on the original list of compatible phones, BUT, I can get it to pair and work, but with a caveat... I can only answer using the speakerphone, not the buttons on the steering wheel, or any of the radio controls. I can dial out and talk thru the speakers just fine, but those I speak with complain of the sound quality. .. may be the phone, but likely the system.. sucks I cant get it working properly (I.E. COMPATIBLE) and it being a new phone when the car was released.. but what a GREAT feature cause my motto is "Hang Up and DRIVE"..

Motorola Droid here, running android 2.2 (froyo) and bluetooth works fine for phone calls and streaming music. But I'm rooted and running a custom rom, kernal, and theme.

I use the HTC EVO in my 2010 SS and it works great. Any chance the bluetooth got turned off on the evo's connection menu?
Did the phone pair ok and then not reconnect the next time you got in the car?

I really need to try this. Everytime I did, it said that it couldn't pair up while the vehicle was moving. Who is my car to keep me safe and say I can't multi-task at 80mph?!
I'll report back here in a few when I go out to my car and try with my HD2 (WinMo).

I suppose this doesn't help you, but I have the Droid X and a 2011 2SS/RS and they paired up first try and have been working fine.
Maybe post some of the things you have tried and the exact symptoms. Chris.... |

The EVO is paired and occassionally I can make a call with the system. However, the car does not automatically recognize it when I return. I have to turn my bluetooth off and on again to get the car to recognize that I am there. Then it drops the call and still forgets that my phone is in the car. I do have the froyo update but since it is the same bluetooth that is in my husbands Tahoe and it works fine there...can't see the problem with my Camaro...
I absolutely love my car and just want every feature to work perfectly...

i had both a iphone and evo at the same time and the iphone was always seen first.
I then drop att and kept the evo and as long as the bluetooth icon is turned on.. no problems.. maybe reset the phone bluetooth and car and start from scratch. the bluetooth menu (via voice commands) works great and it recognizes my gf when she calls out a name to have it call. i drove my evo last week and so missed saying, call home.. lol. and it would.. hehe.. good luck. let us know what happens |
