Lightbulb Hello Colorado

My girlfriend and I are thinking of moving to Colorado. We wanted to get some feedback from those that live in Colorado. What are the pros and cons of living in Colorado? Where are the best cities to live? We like the mountainous area of Conifer. We just want a safe, beautiful view, and affordable real estate that is still reasonable close to either Denver or Colorado Springs.

Pros are the beautiful scenery. Negatives are that so many people have moved here in the last decade. Highways are packed. Affordable real estate depends on your station in life, but it ain't cheap from mine. Lots of things to do , hike, ski, golf, swim, you name it. All major sports but NASCAR. If your coming from California, the negatives I mentioned won't seem so bad. Also legal weed. Welcome.

Our taxes are less for sure. The scenery is great. If you move to Conifer you'll have a blast on the roads with the 1LE, weather can change unexpectedly though, you don't want to get caught out with Super Car tires in the snow or cold, but I'm sure you knew that.

Tons to do here. We are having growing pains though.

+1 pretty much everything you have in CA, you got here with the exception of the ocean.

We have taxes here too, but the level of insanity hasn't hit the same as CA... yet. Conifer is nice, but you'll pay to live there for that scenery. Employment opportunities, and housing will be on the short list.

Everybody and their uncle is moving here... and it shows now with traffic, housing prices, and very low unemployment rates.

I know when you have a good thing, everybody wants a piece of it. I am a native here and I sorely miss the Colorado of my youth.

You are coming at the best time of year in Colorado. Once you see the autumn colors you will be sold.
