Does anyone know if the OEM tire pressure sensor is a band attached to the rim or if it is a sensor on the valve stem?

In case you haven't noticed, the prices on tires are about $100 less per tire than what they usually sell them for. 'Gonna be ordering my next set soon from them for sure! These cr*ppy Nitto Invos I bought last time (from a competitor for even more money) have only 6K miles on them and are already at the wear indicators, and I don't even peel out!? And I thought the stock Pirellis wore out too fast! 'Not gonna buy those again, needless to say.

...On that note, has anyone tried the Continental ExtremeContact DWS tires yet? I know they're all-season and I don't have to worry about snow, but the tread wear rating is very good. 'Just wondering how they drive in warm weather and if anyone has trouble getting traction with them (?).

First- Tire Rack did indeed drop their prices considerably from where the original pricing schedule was set at. I have ordered from Tire Rack numerous times in the past with great satisfaction and most likely will again. There is not however a "C5 discount"- everyone pays the same price. Now, all that said, could someone please explain to me why there is such a pricing gap in these specific (rear) tires?
$340 at one place:
$205 here at TR:
$188 at another:

Question for Tire Rack:
Are ALL Pirelli PZero tires created equal? Are there slight variants from our OEM tires that you actually have to be aware of when comparison shopping where they appear to be the same tire(s) but are not when you look a little closer?

Question 18 inch wheels for the SS

Do you know who makes 18 wheels that will fit the SS? I want to mount a set of 305 Drag Radials on 18x10's as I really don't want to go with 20" just for the drags and I think a little more sidewall is a good thing for drag racing anyway.

Installing JBR SS Headers and 3" Cat Back exhaust, K&N Typhoon Intake and a tune next week.

Cool With the 21" dealer rims, sort of stuck with Pirelli.

I wish I didn't get the SS with 21" dealer rims. I found out after I got it, that 21" is a unique size, and that only Pirelli makes the tires. They therefore can charge $1876.00 for a set. This sort of makes me think that GM and Pirelli are in bed together to make $$$$ together. I therefore MUST get tires only from Pirelli. They are a unique size. Got the market cornered. Get the cheap wheels, and use after market tires....( Why a ZR rating on the tires when I'm limited to 155MPH by the ECU ???
