Wheel hop with normal driving

Bone stock 2013 Camaro SS LS3, this car wheel hops unless you feather the gas/clutch, especially on cold or rainy days, we're talking normal driving where you would just barely chirp the tires NOT any 5000 rpm launches.

I'll be checking the rear shocks first and replacing the original tires (14k miles) soon.

Trailing arms with poly bushings are tempting but is this normal for the car to be that wheel hop sensitive during normal driving?

Thanks

So, you say you're "kinda" getting on it in the rain and cold? What rpm are we talking here?

1500 rpms, just enough to break the tires loose

Obviously you have something whacky going on there. I'd start with shocks, springs, sway links, etc. Any grinding/banging when this occurs?

I'd say that would be abnormal behavior at that rpm. I have issues with it too and am about to do a bunch of work to eliminate it (bushings thread right below yours). But, I generally don't have issues with it until I'm really getting on it at launch (3000-4000). Considering cold and rainy with the typical concrete surface there in Sac, I would expect some extra bump and hop. But that sounds like shocks/springs or some breakage in the toe/trailing linkage to me. It's more than I experienced in similar surfaces in Dallas.

Shocks show a little trace of fluid, definitely no marks from bottoming out, no grinding banging noises at all. Just got oil change today everything looks good up on the lift.

Tires are original and will be replaced soon as they are dated 2012 lol, 14k miles on em. Guess I'll see what happens then.

Thanks for the replies!
