X pipe or SLP bullets???

Looking to quiet my exhaust a bit. I’m running LTs to str8 pipes, res delete and no mufflers. I want to add a x pipe or slp bullet mufflers but still want to sound mean. I think adding both would really kill my sound. Which one should I go with?

I would put the X pipe on regardless, but I wouldn't expect much sound reduction with it.

Kill two birds with one stone and go with Magnaflow resonated X pipe?

I added 9” bullets in place of my catless connection pipes. So my exhaust is now, LT’s, 9” bullets, stock resonators, and cherry bomb extremes in the axle back. The bullets knocked down a lot of the harshness. It’s still loud, and barks when in the throttle. Drones a little around 15-1800 on the highway.

Previously I was also guided by the H-pipe is better than nothing and the X-pipe is better than the H-pipe.
But then I found that this modification differs only with the sound (X-pipe vs. H-pipe).

And when I heard the Camaro SS with an X-pipe .... exotic car.
No thank you. I have an American musce car from old school. So just the H-pipe only.
On my 1978 Type LT I also have an X-pipe, but there will be an H-pipe.
X-pipe does not sound good (for me)

Actually I would recommend Monza tips a resonator tip.... Used to use them on my old straight pipe muscle cars. PACESETTER....stuff. You have FI so your not going to get highflows to quiet the rasp. One nice note, old school Monza tips used to tweet for me, a mild chirping with the lope of the cam at idle kind of always reminded me of spurs jingling. And since they are basically a little cherry bomb type muffler at least you could claim some sound reduction as a muffler if pulled over.....

https://www.bing.com/images/search?q...aust&FORM=IGRE and there are some of course utubes of cars with them on if your old school like me you've used them and others over the years.

With cam stage 4 the sound of the engine is totally different ... The idle sound sounds like throw 1" nuts on the plate. Very aggressive and irregular.

It's hard to describe what I mean.
My 78 Camaro STROKER 383 with x-pipe sounds smoothly like an one eight-cylinder.

But my 2010 SS with H-pipe it sounds like two four-cylinder. And that's what I like.

Do you know what I mean ..?

Otherwise you have a very nice Camaro

This is exactly what you want. I had a '96 LT4 Corvette no cats, no mufflers and the resonated x-pipe, cammed as well, and this sound was perfect. Still very aggressive, screamed at WOT, yet I could daily drive it w/out going nuts.

I agree with the resonated x pipe. When I put it on my car it really cut the volume down. But it did get rid of the high pitched rasp and gave the car a nice low growl.
