Community Service - Hayne's Manual

Hi there,

I purchased a digital copy of the 5th gen ('10-'15) manual. If you're in need of any info, specs, procedure that might be found there let me know, and if I can help, count on it.

Hayne's are "ok", but I've found the GM manual has more/better info.....just like Harley's service manual is FAR better than Hayne's or Clymer's.....cost more, but "darn well worth it!"

If you have it, what are the torque specs for the stock air filter box nuts?

There are two nuts that hold the air-box assembly to the car, and a push in grommet
at the bottom, so he's not joking.

10mm Nuts

Yes, I was serious. There are two 10mm nuts like '10CamaroDude mentioned.

Well shit , remembered only one bolt and two push down grommets. Guess that makes me the ass hat or Gomer

13lbs still should do fine for them

Damn, I wasn't aware about the service manuals published by GM. I also have the Haynes manual and it's good for simple repairs, but it lacks in a few places like how to remove individual body components like the tail light bezels and listing the GM part numbers for individual screws and retainer clips. I went through a lot of shit when I did my front bumper cover swap. Those GM part numbers would've saved me a lot of time.

I had hosted a Google Drive link for the GM Service Manual a few times, but it is a 150MB, 10,000+ page pdf. It cannot be uploaded to the site via any normal means due to size. Any other manuals should probably be hosted off-site as well for obvious reason ©.

I've never noticed the OEM service manuals giving part numbers, except maybe in very limited circumstances.
