I bowled my first 300 today. Not sanctioned, but still felt damn good.

Corvette, GT500, Viper and Challenger all had the same issue, as they all used the TR6060.

New topic. My son has an 04 S-10 Blazer 4.3L with three O2 sensors. There is a bank one probe one just after the left exhaust manifold, a bank two probe one just behind the right exhaust manifold and just in front of the cat is a bank one probe two.

The one near the cat, bank 1 probe 2 has been replaced 5 times in the last year. Initially i went to Autozone and got a Bosch replacement that in a couple days tripped the cel light. I went back and they did a warranty exchange on it that again tripped the cel light in under three days.

Then after some research i read that Bosch suck and that a Denso or factory GM (made by Denso for GM) so i ordered a Denso from Napa and it lasted under a week. Next (a couple weeks ago) we ordered a GM probe from Rock Auto and it lasted two days, tripping the light on day two.

I have recorded probes, all three but am not sure what I'm looking at other than that they are fluctuating in voltages.

Bank Two, probe one.

Bank one, probe 1.

And the probe from Napa, the Denso.

And just after installing the new GM probe from Rock Auto.

Now, can anyone tell me why i can not get this stupid thing with 69,000 miles on it to stop throwing this dang code? Can the cat be beginning to restrict and cause it, and if so, can i bust out the cat without causing another code to trip?

This is my code I am getting.

I should also note that the inspection ran out a week ago, so I'm forced to find a way to deal with this in as brisk a fashion as possible.

Can't. You have to pass emissions before they can do the safety inspection, this is by law. Being that the check engine light is on, it will not pass the OBD2 plug in test. I'm at an impasse. I have to get the O2 sensors code gone long enough to get the required emissions hot/cold cycles completed that will allow the OBD2 test to happen. I thread a new o2 probe in and get 2 or 3 run cycles on it and the light comes back on. I've been wasting money on new probes and I'm gaining no ground. I'm really at a loss here.

I thought i explained this in great detail, or maybe your jacking with me? I've replaced the sensor 5 times. Each new sensor troops a new fault code within 2 days. I've been trying to simply "change the sensor" so that the code will go away, but it's been futile.

I'd say unplug the CEL bulb/light or paint it black. Worry about it later? Doesnt fix the plug in problem tho... lol

Is the harness or something up the way shorting or damaged somewhere? or its just cursed..

You might want to inspect your AIR system (assuming that a 4.3 has them). A clogged check valve will also cause those codes.

Also, be sure you're replacing the correct sensor. I know it seems rather straight forward which location is bank 1, sensor 1, etc. but perhaps swap sensors to determine if it's truly that sensor or if the code "follows the bank" if that makes sense.
