I hope you primed and painted the edges where you cut the opening....I have repaired a lot of rust blisters from people cutting in windows in custom vans and such ...that didn't treat the bare metal. But it will take 2-4 years. To show any signs...buy then it's the next guys problem !!!!

I like the clean flush look of those.

The other ones look too much like a stick on piece like you'd find stuck on a roush mustang.

Me too! If they were just a bit less........pronounced, I'd want some.
I'd like to see some shots of those from a 45 or so.

Love the look - they are an excellent visual compliment to the hood.

I wonder how they would look painted the same color as the hood extractor...?

Are they functional and how would it effect the ZL1's aerodynamics?

I'm sure they could be made "functional" if you were to cut up the wheel well liner. But then you'd also be throwing stuff off the tires right into/through these vents onto the side of the car.

they're mainly just for looks. the factory aerodynamics should be unchanged.

I really like the look, but it sure would be hard making that first cut in the fender!
