Trying to get things in order to get into a new Stingray, but a '16 SS is my backup plan. Either way, I should have perma-grin by the end of the year!

Installed suede E Brake boot wit red stitching to match the shift boot (coming, yes I know it's an auto) and suede ZL1 shifter with red stitching that is also ordered.

First install pass. Might move it around more, but took 5 minutes. Bad cell pic from the garage, but you get the idea.

Not that I want one, I'm just curious.
Most cars have them and its commonly referred to as the Parking Brake:

Emergency brake

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

An emergency brake is a separate brake system in a vehicle for use in case of failure of the regular (hydraulic or air) brakes and commonly used as a parking brake in automobiles.

So you're saying that if your brakes gave out, you won't try the 'parking brake' because you read somewhere that it will not 'significantly aid in stopping the vehicle'? lol, good luck to ya then...

Picked it up from the 1LE suspension install, pretty much everything but the front sway bar.

Subframe, radius rod, differential, and upper control arm bushings, as well as rear trailing arms, and possibly some 1 inch drop springs, are all on the list for next set of suspension upgrades. That's probably not until next year though.

10 inch square setup and some all season tires to get me through the winter come next.

I use it when I park even though I am an auto to keep pressure off of the trans, but I would also grab that sucker as a line of last defense in a braking emergency.

Some people just want to watch the world burn!

j/k, but I get it. You call it one, I call it another, but we know what I was talking about though don't we. LOL

So do we have parking lights or running lights? I have heard them called both.
Why do we drive on parkways and park on driveways?
As Shakespeare said, "A rose by any other name...."

Subaru actually has parking lights. Low power marker lights and the cluster doesn't come one.

If you're in a panic braking situation, pulling the handbrake will quickly turn it into a real emergency situation when the rear end flips around and the car starts spinning. Seems pretty accurate calling it an emergency brake since it will cause emergencies.
