Does anyone Make A Convertible Roll Bar Yet?

I have a supercharged convertible putting 579hp to the rear wheels and I have only found one track that I can take it to because everyone else requires a roll bar on a convertible to let you race. Does any one know of a race day roll bar manufacturer for the convertible? You know, something that can be installed when I want to race and then be removed for normal driving. I have talked to one manufacturer who is considering building one but they say it will be next year before they bring one to market.

You could just say you bought your car from GM with the supercharger.

I doubt the tech guy would know exactly what that is.

HPE650ragtop: You don't have to wait for a mass produced bar. Any chassis shop should be able to do what you want.

This is only cosmetic it is not a roll bar. Revolution makes one too but neither are rated for roll over protection.

Angelwings Tech has plans to produce a two-hoop Track Day Bar for the Gen 5 Camaro convertible, similar to our Angelwings C5C6 TDB for Corvettes, which we had on display at Camaro5fest II. It will be a true bolt-in, with no welding and only minimal trim cutting required. But it is at least 6 months away from production. If we see that there is a greater demand than anticipated, we may be able to speed up the schedule.

It is being designed for Camaro convertible owners who wish to participate in road course track days, similar to the Pfadt Track Assault at the Camaro5fest. So it may not meet all of the requirements of the straightline tracks. If you have specific requirements, or just want to be kept informed of our progress, please send me a PM.

Visit our website at www.angelwingstech.com.

John,
Let me know when you get that built. I'm only 2 hours from you and really need one on this Callaway vert.
