The new Camaros today have the hole larger from the factory. Really won't have any issue if you drill it out to help with the situation.

Clean it, drill it , or buy a 2014 PVC valve, as they call it.

Thanks guys, I'll check the dealer or parts store first and see if I can buy the part. Really appreciate all you guys on the forum. I've made all my mods based on information I've learned here.

If you buy a new one your going to have to pull out the old one to put in the new one. I just did this to mine, it took 10 seconds to pull it out. It's only aluminum, you can hold it with one hand and drill it with the other. My valve wasn't clogged but I drilled it out anyway, just in case. When they say "pull it out", it just sits in there snug, two taps with the pliers and it's back in.

The 2014 part is already enlarged, no drilling required. I just worry about metal shards that may be left inside during the drill, then fall into valve cover. I know it's probably a remote possibility. But for $9.30 for the 2014 I figured it was worth it.

Update: Just received my ordered part from GM Parts warehouse and it cost about $18.86 shipped to my door. GM Dealerships in this area didn't stock the part and their ordered price was ridiculous. The part came with the smaller holes so I drilled it out to 5/64" and 7/64". Plan to install it as soon as this Winter hell ends. There are two forecast for Northern Illinois these days; Shovelin, and Shiverin!

Started the car today with the new orifice drill piece and the extra air flow through the rubber line is making a loud hiss sound and semi collapsing the line. Going to try to install some more rigid rubber tubing and see if that takes care of the problem. Glad I still have the original pvc. I put it back on for now.

Mine was clean but the holes were not exactly round, so I used a smaller drill around the size of the holes to clean them out.
Just took a little metal out of them.

This sounds like the PVC is occluded- possibly a piece of metal shard blocking the hole? Can you blow through the modded piece?

If the rubber tube is collapsing, there is vacuum building up in the line- not increased flow.
