I have to agree about the whole not really needing commercials. I saw a Camaro yesterday and I thought to myself: "Does my car really look that good?" The answer is, yes, yes it does. No commercials needed.

It looks like it was done by a dealer. Not that it was but the level of polish was not totally there.

I'm not impressed. Bad cinematography.
The Transformers movie did a better job promoting this car than any commercial could and there is another movie coming out soon. So why create a commerical?

Did no one watch the NASCAR race in Daytona Saturday night? I was pretty hammered but there was a Camaro only commercial. My wife and I both saw it and remarked how it's the first one we had seen. Don't remember the particulars, but I think it was the same one, surprisingly in the U.S.'s second language, English. You never know these days.

I don't know about you guys but it seems like every web page I visit has a camaro banner somewhere. I think they gave google all of their advertising dollars and said the hell with TV. I think more people sit in front of a computer screen then a tv now days. I like anything that has a camaro on it. You could record it on a cell phone and put a soundtrack of a 747 and I would still be happy.

Apple can't print enough iPhones but that doesn't stop them from running ads. Unless every person of driving age is driving a camaro, you can always run more ads. Chrysler has some pretty damn amazing ads running right now. They aren't trying to cover up the issues, they're telling it like it is. They completely play into the stereotypes but that's exactly what the American car companies need to do right now.
