Permanent CEL code
Yeah so ever since I did my AGP dual pump the CEL has been on for the FP sensor. I recently reintegrated the FP sensor on the fuel regulator. I wired it to the OEM harness on the tank. The light is still ON!
I cleared the codes on my HPT. But the light stays on. I ran diagnostics and cleared again. Now the code is P069E FPCM requested MIL illumination & P018B FP Sensor Circuit range/performance. Both say pending, current, permanent. I’m used to the CEL being on since December, would like to get it off. Anyone see this before? What worked? Is my sensor not working?

Permanent means it won't clear when power to the ECU is removed. A pro scan tool is
needed to clear PERMANENT codes, is all. However, since it's from the fuel pump control module, it will come right back on until the sensor issue is fixed. If you fixed it, you need a good scan tool to clear the DTCs. If you get a cheap $20 Walmart hand-held scanner, it probably won't clear the permanent DTCs. |

So dealership wants to charge me to run a full diagnostic on my car. Um, no thanks. Last time I was in there I had to explain to them what a leak down test. My car is somewhat modified and they like to waste my time.
Anyone know of an OBD II scanner I can buy that will clear my permanent code without costing $1000?

Two questions:
1. Is your fuel pressure reporting to HPTuners? 2. Have you licensed your FPCM? Checking my tune file, I can see that I have both of those codes set to NO ERROR REPORTED and the SES ENABLE box has been unchecked. P069E you will find in the normal tune file under Engine Diagnostics/DTCs P018B you will find under Fuel System/DTC (only can be removed if you licensed your FPCM)

Keep in mind a permanent code will always show up when you run a DTC scan. HPTuners just allows you to stop that specific code from throwing the CEL on the dash.

Thanks I am going to see if I can figure this out on HPT, main goal is to get the CEL to go off.
