I love the matte black wrap and am still debating doing it. Future father in law quoted me $800 so I should probably jump on it.

Are the matte colors a bitch to maintain?

i have been told they are easy to maintain but when a rock chip hits any matte surface you cant buff it out. same goes for any wrap.
the beauty behind it is, if something happens you just replace the panel wrap and thats it !

800 is an awesome price for full wrap. but what brand is it ?
3M put in a billion dollars last year to get the absolute best material to prevent your factory paint and clear coat from suntanning any damage while being wrapped or from being removed.

any other brand, i would read up and make sure it wont damage your factory paint if you decided to remove it. hope this helps.
pm me with any questions

I have wrapped boats and it held up in the Gulf Of Mexico !!! Either way you really can't go bad by doing it. Just make sure it's a 3M brand for the wrap, stay away from automark material . LG makes a good wrap material so you might look into that if you want to save money . OH also Avery makes a real good wrapping material as well .

It will never hurt the paint under the wrap , actually the wrap protects the paint .

OH forgot to mention , the 3M wrap peels off in big pieces .. cheaper material peels off piece by piece ... taking a week to remove !

3m wrap takes 2 hours to remove ( based on a Mercedes SL500 )

Thanks. He said it was 3m. He does quiet a few and has plenty on hand. When he said 3m I assumed it had to be great. He's extremely OCD so that will be on my side

Yeah, it is 3M and I asked the guy he said the Chrome Wraps arnt illegal or he wouldn't be driving his around to advertise it. Its probably different in different states. But ya, I was thinking of going Matte/Satin Black, either with Factory IOM exposed for stripes or maybe have him do Flat IOM/Orange for strips.

I was possibly thinking maybe doing the 2012 Transformers. But backwards Matte Black where the Yellow is and IOM where the Black Strips are.
