ZL1 ADDONS WICKERBILL

I got the ZL1 ADDONS wicker bill installed the other day on my 2014 ss. Ran into somethings that I did not see on any of the other videos. I made a quick video highlighting some of the things I ran into. Great product. I highly recommend it.

Scariest thing you've ever done? You need to get out more.

I hate using the drill on anything. Let alone into the car!

I know what he's talking about. When I installed my ZL1 Addons wickerbill, it was pretty damned nerve wracking.

But definitely not the scariest thing I have ever done lol. Just one of the scariest things I have done to my car with a powertool. Until I get my hood vent, that is!

So do I . Had to open the holes in my trunk to mount my Anvil spoiler. I think Cliff diving was my scariest moment 50 ft into the St Lawrence river.

I have no experience with that brand but it will work with the ZL1 and z28 spoiler as well as the factory SS. A friend has the “WING KING” z28 spoiler from eBay with the ZL1 add one wicker bill if you want a guarantee that it will be a quality product. Wing king has an eBay store and sells great products for the cheep! Happy Modding!!!!

Maybe "the scariest thing..." to do with a drill. I agree.

Drilling a painted exterior surface of a vehicle is mostly prohibited by manufacturers to their engineers designing add-on accessories. A friend is a manufacturing supplier to many auto makers who have designed bolt on accessories over the decades. Most of them would never drill through a roof of a SUV to mount lights, roof racks, etc., because it leaves exposed bare steel and is a rust initiation point. If holes are absolutely necessary, they have the holes punched in production, if possible, and every edge is coated in zinc and primer/paint. Any maker that does do drilling of finished exterior surfaces will have a corrosion prevention process as well as tooling to ensure the holes get drilled where they should be. They all use a 'salt spray' test with a SAE or ISO standard, heated, wet environment to test for rust protection. So, even manufacturers pucker when drilling finish exteriors of cars.
