Spoiler install hose my stripes?
So I'm debating about adding on a factory spoiler to my 2LT....really like the look of it....but I'm not sure where it will sit on my decklid with relation to my stripes....is it going to be OK, or do you think it's going to cover them slightly?

I think they will be covered, but all you need do is get the stripes done up the spoiler.

I just put my stripes on yesterday. Yes, it will cover part of those stripes where the pinstripes are on the back.

I'm glad when I pre-ordered my Camaro, the dealer didn't put on his decal.

It won't matter on the pin stripes the spoiler vinyl picks up where the spoiler covers the deck lid.

Nope, no bubbles...it, of course, decided to start to rain as I was finishing my Zaino fun in the 95 degree heat!
So sixtyniner, you're the only one saying that I might make out OK....do you have any pics? I'm even trying to find a great shot of the spoiler placement to compare..... |

Which spoiler are you going for? The factory spoiler for the SS or RS equipped vehicles, or the high-wing spoiler?
If you're going with the factory spoiler, it's going to require drilling holes (a couple through the vinyl I might add) and it will absolutely cover up the back edges of the rally stripes. To get the stock look, you'll need the extra pieces of the rally stripe set that complete the stripes up onto the spoiler. There's probably some photos of your exact color scheme in the official Yellow Camaro thread found here: http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=5214 You can kind of see it in the last picture of post # 65 on page 3 or check out post # 195 on page 8. |

Thanks, seems like a few different opinions....yes, I was planning on the factory spoiler I think. If I get the spoiler stripe sections, do you think those will work, or will I need to redo the trunk stripes too?

You should just need the spoiler stripes. The parts department should be able to get those for you and installing them shouldn't be difficult at all.
