When the Pool Cover can't hold anymore Snow

Yesterday I heard this loud rumbling noise, sounded like a train was in my backyard, turned out to be that the loop lock pool cover could not hold the snow anymore, could not shovel the snow off either beacause it was sunk down after the Blizzard we had a couple of weeks ago, here is a before and after pickName: IMAG0063.jpg

Nice of your homeowner's policy to buy you a new pool cover. Say thank you when they do.

I highly doubt those pool covers are designed to withstand several inches of snow for weeks at a time. I always thought those were solely to keep leaves and random stuff from blowing into the pool...

Wow. I sometimes worried that might happen to us...never did.

Replace it with a safety cover. Best thing we did when we lived up north...sooo much easier. You can just leaf blow stuff off.

Now in Texas we don't have a cover at all

Good luck!

This loop lock one is supposed to hold anything, the picture of the lop lock cover shows an elephant standing on the cover (whether that is true, who know, lol)

Plus a new linner

The cover looks like it could be bigger, looks like it fits down in there to easy but I can only guess from what I see.

That so sucks Joe. I'm sure it's covered on your homeowner's policy -but depending on your deductible and the chance of your insurance going up, well... I have the same cover on my pool too - guess the snow was heavier than an elephant, huh? Sorry...
