No, it can not cancel the L99 drone switching to 4 cylinders.

I have $600 in this not counting the oil change or dyno time.
I'm talking about the exhaust system which I believe the MSRP is around 900 bucks...notwithstanding anybody's haggling ability.

Before my cam I ran it right up to the rev limiter for my best times.
In all my years of drag racing, I never found that to be the case. We were not that fast (10.8's), but if I took the engine past peak power, the times were never as good. It should be noted that shifting the car at 7200 RPM got you to the end of the 1/4 mile just before the rev limiter kicked in (turbo 400 manual valve body with 4500 RPM stall). If I hit the rev limiter in any gear (7400 RPM) things went very south. Your new cam most certainly may have raised the peak power point, and the NPP may benefit you. When you had the better trap speed, did you also have the best ET?

Can you elaborate? What do you mean by drone switching? Im aware that the auto uses AFM when on the highway / cruise, but is the quad port exhaust not installed solely due to the sound it makes when in 4 cylinder mode (AFM) or for other reasons?

I agree with you when it comes to Auto's! My th400s and my big blocks actually liked to be short shifted into 2nd gear at 5300, then taken to peak at 5600 into 3rd! This would result in my best ETs and traps, I find it different with this engine and M6. If I shift at peak or short shift 2nd like I use to, the car slows down. I tried a hole bunch of different shifts in this car, 2nd gear seems to like 6,400 mabye more if my trans would allow!! shifting 3rd I rev it to the max, I pick up et and speed. This has been the case even when the car was bone stock, I think the manual trans has allot to do with it. A little more RPMs into the next gear seems to help with not have a converter to fall back on.

Yes the do not put it on do to the AFM sound. The Mufflers on a L99 and LS3 even though they look the same they are not. L99 has stuff to help with drone along with the big butt resonator in the middle of the car. NPP would sound horrible when AFM kicked in.

Trust me I would know, I had a L99 and dealt with the drone issues.

I dont care that i dont pick up a ton of power over stock. It sounds great and will never have the droen of a aftermarket exhaust system on the highway.

It's actually not that crazy. It sounds amazing with the Pfadt LTs and HF cats but not ridiculously loud, even with the fuse pulled. I got a M2W controller to quiet it down enough for my wife to not complain about the very slight amount of drone when driving on the highway at 60mph in 6th gear, going up a hill.

Well I for one like it on my ZL1 with a cam, headers and off road pipes it sounds great, but when it was driven in the bay at fastlane the sound bounded off the walls, and talk about freaking loud man.Although even with my top down at cruise I cant hear much at all until the hammer is dropped.lol

I had the NPP ordered on my 13 ss and it is the single most pointed out feature. It could be because 5th gen Camaros have been out for a while and this is new on them but it does get a lot of attention.

6 - 10 HP difference is nothing compared to the difference a driver makes. If I were to add power I prefer a smaller gain over the entire curve than one great number at a certain rpm.

You are taking about bouncing off the rev limiter that is not the same as shifting a few hundred after the peak. Rev limiter is going to cut your power off considerably.

NPP with fuse pull is worth is even if the weight was the same and it had zero Benifit. Car sounds like it has a v8 in it.
