1: How many of you have top problems?

2: How many of you do not have top problems?

3: How many have had their top replaced?

4: How many need to have their top replaced but haven't yet?

5: What model year do you have?

I would like to to get a feel for what is going on out in the real world.
I am going to compile this data and make a spread sheet out of it and see if we can get some percentage of the owners on here what is going on.

I have a 2012 and my top is getting replaced.

No problems. I do see where the top is pinched but not worn, etc... I am however keeping an eye on it.

I have a 2011 built on 2/9/11 it went through about a 1.5 months of QC before shipping.

So if it is pinched that would be a problem especially on a new car. I have it noted.

1. I had top problems,..... rub marks and seam seperation

2. Only reason I don't have top problems anymore is I traded it on a new 2012 coupe

3. Yes,... the dealer had to have the top replaced

4. Im not sure what it looks like after the replacement because its not mine anymore

5. Its a 2011 with only appx 1,500 miles

1: How many of you have top problems? - Some wear marks, some pretty frequent issues with putting it down.

2: How many of you do not have top problems? - Err.. Not me

3: How many have had their top replaced? - Not me....yet, expect I will.

4: How many need to have their top replaced but haven't yet? - Wear marks but not bad enough at present

5: What model year do you have? - Feb 2011

I do. I did Sux' mods, which didn't completely eliminate it in my case. Perhaps the top moving around more due to no tonneau cover makes the problem worse.

2: How many of you do not have top problems?

See above.

3: How many have had their top replaced?

Not yet.

4: How many need to have their top replaced but haven't yet?

I do. There's a small hole in the top. I'm just waiting for GM to have a definitive fix so it can be done once, done right, and that's the end of it.

5: What model year do you have?

2011, build date 4/9ish

Yes, pinch/rub marks, and when replaced broken anchors over the rear side windows.

2: How many of you do not have top problems?

3: How many have had their top replaced?
In right shop right now for 2nd replacement top.

4: How many need to have their top replaced but haven't yet?

Thanks! I have an excel workbook made up with the results that I will post with the results once this thread is slowing down. Please have anyone that you know with a vert chime in. The results so far are rather disturbing to me.

Took delivery of my Convertible on May 21st. I cannot see any wear marks,or places where the top is pulling away from the metal frame,etc. My car only has 1200 miles on it.I will keep updating the site if any problems crop up as more miles are added to the car.Of course I am hoping I will not see any,but it is not looking good.I have been reading about owners with lots of top problems.I hope GM can get a handle on it soon.
