383 Stroker, 723hp Dyno, Atlanta
$4400 FIRM. 383 stroker engine, 0 miles, 723hp dyno'd from shop that it was purchased from.
I am not an engine/car guy so I can't get technical with you in regards to the specs listed below, but this is the info given to me by shop: flat top 30 over, 202 valves, summit performance heads, custom roller rockers, aluminum performance intake, ported and flowed, pump comp cam 565 575 lift, grind number is 280 h-10, holley 650 double pump carb but will probably need a 750. Was going to have in my 1991 RS Camaro but have since purchased a 2011 SS and want to invest in it. I am selling engine because the 91 Camaro needed a new transmission, new interior, new MANY things, and I no longer wanted a project car after I got my 2011 SS. Was purchased from shop for $4200 and has since been chromed out and painted. Engine is not in a car right now, it is on the hanger and is ready to drop in a new car and roll. I will ship if you cover shipping. 4 bolt main, high performance intake, Summit heads, custom roller rockers, 12:1 compression ratio. Runs on 100 octane but can be tweaked to run on 93. This engine is a beautiful beast. Video to show it runs - http://youtu.be/OBoSSKNISi8 TEXT ONLY - 919-633-0851 keywords: chevy chevrolet stroker engine 383 horsepower camaro racing motor |

I would too, but unfortunately I don't have one. I don't care if that takes away from the credibility honestly, the specs on the engine speak for themselves. The shop that sold me the engine didn't explicitly have a reason to lie to me about the dyno, I wasn't even purchasing the engine based on a dyno sheet as I purchased it before he even gave me info about the dyno. I just wanted a powerful motor for my 91 Camaro.

It is hard to get that power from a conventional 23° head. I built a 434 that had a .727/.712 mech roller w/282 & 278 @ .050 duration. It was a true beast but it wasn't far from the mark your 383 is putting out.

I'm not technical when it comes to engines, all i'm regurgitating is the information that the shop gave me with no explicit reason to lie to me.. if it's incorrect then so be it, whoever buys it will still be getting a very powerful motor. If it's correct, and hopefully it is since like I said, the shop had no real reason to lie, then that's cool too. Either way, someone who wants a 383 stroker with no miles, chrome, freshly painted, and very powerful for either racing or street can find interest in this motor.

Never the less this looks like a good deal for somebody. You really can't buy all the parts and build it for much less. G/l with the sale.
