Sorry but real world data disagrees.

And the throttle controller are pieces of junk. It is very well documented that they mess with the cars electrical system and will throw codes. Plus once you tune the car, which you should if you get headers or gears, the throttle controller becomes useless as the tune now does the same thing without compromising the car.
NAILED IT!

Especially the ones that remove the windshield wiper reservoir and use that space, with a properly sized intake tube and properly placed maf sensor, along with a big, high flowing filter, it's easy to believe that air temps could be reduced by quite a bit.
You will not win or lose a drag based on your cai choice. Many members with just as many different cais are here.

Ported throttle body, good CAI and Tune. No need to go into the engine unless he's done it all and still wants more.

As for the CAI, those are for under hood visuals only - they add nothing to performance.
I did mention "throttle controller".Vitesse is not the only game in town that being said i have a Vitesse. not all "cai's" are created equal some actually work and some i would call a hot air intake

E85, but that will require a tune I believe.

All else equal, the better intake wins right? If you're saying no, then you are saying all intakes are exactly equal and that is not the case, I'm sorry to have to inform you. Now, with that said, the differences in most cases are so minuscule that other factors in a race will greatly outweigh the impact a cai has on the race... therefore in all practicality we can safely assume the cai will not cause you to win or lose a race.

I have a cat back and cold air as well and I decided to put a ported Bo White Stage 3 ported TB that came off his personal car on my 2015 L99. The throttle response was absolutely insane but for some reason my L99 rejected it and went into limp mode. Could have been that it was a 14/15 or and L99, so I ended up going with a tune from Dyno Steve. The throttle response isn't quite what the Bo White TB was but a remarkable improvement over stock and well worth the money. BTY that stage 3 TB is for sale for 300 shipped.

Super happy with my mods as listed....
I did have a revhigh throttle controller that never threw any codes, sold it after the tune, but it worked very well.

maybe i'm crazy...

I don't know...call me crazy, but why not just put gas in it and drive it.

My 2013 SS is comfortable, handles like a dream, faster than greased lightning, 6 gears to row through, and just plain bad to the bone! I'm always leaving trails of awesomeness everywhere I go.

Who knows! Maybe I'm just crazy or something....

Your not informing me of anything. Your info has the same content as debates on here from 8 years ago when this topic was beaten to death.

Guess I’m crazy too. More power than I can actually handle on the street as is. I did upgrade the handling and I’ll probably add a few things like a better shifter and an exhaust strictly for effect but right now I’m good. If I honestly were to do a performance mod it would probably be gears - expensive but told best bang for the buck. I’d definitely not do any voodoo stuff that would affect reliability.
