I agree, my friend went 12.7-8's last weekend with his 2011 5.0 ...still stock-ish with CAI and exhaust.... I got work to do lol

As to gear options that were mentioned earlier, I doubt you'll see either Ford or Chevy offer 4.10s from the factory. Those absolutely kill highway mpg.

I dont see any proof that the mustange is faster, guys running high 11s with a full exhaust and a tune is not any faster then what a few camaros have done. OrangechevyII was running 11.80s with a full exhaust, tune and DRs, I see a few others do the same. I think both cars are very close, this could go on for ever! In my opinon, both cars with the same mods, the one that wins is the one that came out of the factory strong all ready, given the same driver skill.

theres enough proof that says the Mustang is a couple tenths faster. Not a huge margin, and barely noticeable to some, but its there.

Hey Mike, hate to tell you but Livernois is one of the best tuners in Michigan, they did my car. I had LT Kooks 1 7/8 headers, hi-flow cats, corsa exhaust, Roto-fab CAI and their custom tune and let me tell you that I now have a whole different animal!!!! I have an L99 and ran the best of 12.60 @111 MPH in GA. at the C5 fest and most other "stock" L99's were running around a 13.2 to 13.3 range. If your friend can shift that car you will be in trouble. Good luck.

I mean strong from the factory... some camaros are putting out more power then others, as much as 20hp at the wheels! So if you have a factory freak like stated ...and pulled 12.60s bone stock ( been done already ) then I dont see a problem beating that stang. If you have a dog from the factory, then theres a problem

Thats why I dont think the stang is any faster, I am sure they have some stock dogs coming out of the factory, and I am sure they have some stock killers like we do as well.

Our auto 5.0 with 3.15 gears and 85 miles on the odometer went 13.1 @ 107 stock and 12.7 @ 111 with just a tune in 80 degree heat.

With headers, mid-pipe, catback and drag radials, still with stock airbox it went 12.0 @ 116.

We then added a 4.10 gear and aluminum driveshaft and it went 11.61 @ 118 mph.

Just for comparison, our 5.0 is 3,680 with me in it. The last Camaro I had on the same scale was 4,160 with me in it.
