I hate cops - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Alright so I'm driving home yeaterday from work ( 35 min drive ) and in the last 2 mins away from home a cop pulls next to
Me. Then he launches forward and I see them looking in the review mirror at me. Then we get to a stop sign and he stops until I go forward then trailed me all the way into my driveway :(. Them turns the lights on and pulls me over ( witch I was already parked in my driveway at this point ). Then I find out he's pulling me over for no front plate. But whats better than this is the only Insurance In the car was for the tahoe and it would of been fine except it expired 11/8 one day befor so I got cited for that too. And now I have a court date and I'm not putting that plate on my car 50% of cars here don't have them. What are my options ?

use one of the no bolt methods to put a plate on

show them plate and proof of active ins at the time

remove plate

repeat

You have no options but to suffer your punishment. If no front plate is illegal in your state and you had no front plate, the LEO can legally stop and write you up for that, some don't some do.

I don't understand....you were driving your Camaro uninsured??? (They can find that out before they stop you by running your plate.) Insurance was for a Tahoe that was expired?? Not sure why you're hating on the cop. I'd bet he ran your plate, found you were uninsured, used the no front plate for the reason he stopped you, then wrote you up for both.
He probably wouldn't have stopped you for the plate if you were not uninsured.

You should be happy he let you get home first otherwise he would have had you towed.

Rules are rules, break em and and sooner or later you will have to pay for it.

You could move to South Carolina, like some other states, we have no front tag.

Hating is not cool. If you have insurance you should be cleared of that violation. Also just put on a plate.

If you're going to run the risk of not having a front plate on your car then that's your own damn fault. I don't have one on our Malibu either but I understand that I'm running the risk of getting pulled over at any time. There's no use hating on the cop for doing his job.

Get a front plate or hideaway plate, get insurance, and suck it up. There are your only options.
