What would you change for the 2011 Camaro?
Considering the present options and packages for the Camaro,I believe their is much more that GM could do to make next model year even more attractive to consumers, although it has been quite evident in the 2010 Camaro the limitations of options and packages avaliable.
First off,I must say that i am some-what dissapointed with GM's idea's of "packages".Of coarse they are designed to cause a consumer to spend more of their hard earned $$$ to get the desired result. I wish GM would lose that mentality, and honestly give the consumer what they want in a car.Now that the Camaro is a big success, and all of us new Camaro owners who have paid big $$$ for our cars, and have to some degree kept GM from extinction. Remember back in the 80's the Burger King comercials that used to advertise the slogan "have it your way"I wish GM would have that kind of mentality when it came to how we as a consumer could order our car in that way....and by the way,Burker kings was very successfull with that campaign, and they're still that way, granted were just talking about a simple thing like,no pickles,no onions on my Wopper. If only that concept could be applied to the way a consumer could order their new Camaro, like we used to back in the day. Aside from all this, their are changes that i feel will attract more buyers of the 2011 Camaro vs it's competition, and hopefully be instituted in the new model year. 1.The option to have a rear spoiler on a 1LT,2LT without having to have the RS package. 2.The option to have the 4 gauge cluster pack without the RS package. 3.Changing the already avaliable color Black(paint code U8555)to a metallic black(paint code WA990A)as seen on Saturn vehicles. 4.The option to have 20" wheels on the 1LT,2LT Camaro without the RS package. 5.The option to have all season tires to replace the Pirelli "summer only"tires(20"). 6.The option to have painted(body color)roof drip moldings on any model camaro without having to have the RS package. 7.More variety of colors(gold, copper, bronze, etc) 8.The option of more than 1 audio system and a 6-disc changer. 9.The option of rally stripes being avliable in gloss finish as opposed to matte finish, and the option of stripe package being avaliable on all models. 10.The option of white leather,or body color matched seat inserts(cloth). This could be part of a package). Now that i shared my ideas, how bout yours?BTW i don't care to hear any comments about why these ideas wouldn't be possible, this thread is written just to get you to come up with ideas and express what you personally would like to see in the future for the 2011 Camaro.

I'd like the option to applaud GM for giving us so much happiness in a car.

"2.The option to have the 4 gauge cluster pack without the RS package."
The Gauge Package has nothing to do with Rally Sport package. It is standard on 2LT and 2SS ONLY. I wish the gauges were standard on 1SS and 2SS (performance models) and optional on all other trim levels.

Fog lights along with Halos would be cool, maybe even Halos on the fogs as well.

I'm sure this has been said a million times already but the only thing I'm waiting for is Nav system. Some more aftermarket mods for customization will be nice as well.

SS Camaro black edition. w/red seat inserts and stitching on a nice black interior, HUD, Smart keys. That is all Oh, and a high wing for my second trunk lid. So I can switch between the two. That would be nice. OH, and I completely forgot, Full ABL>! The way it should be. This is actually at the top of my list of requests.

I hope the rumor I heard of olympic white is true, if it is I'm holding out for the 2011. The 2010 is nice but the only thing holding me back is that the interior leaves something to be desired IMO. When do you guys think info going to come out about the 2011? Ford has theirs and so does Dodge, GM has these different types of camaros comming soon, anyone think they are just going to ride 2010 with those options and not do a 2011 and just come with a 2012?

1. Make the HID headlights w/halos standard on 2LT/2SS models AND be able to use fog lights with them.
2. Add or delete the spoiler on all models. 3. Sat Nav 4. High-end, 10 speaker audio system w/6 disc in dash CD changer. 500 watt multi-channel amp for speakers and mono output for 8/10" subs in trunk. 5. Automatic climate control system. 6. ABM!! 7. Mail slot delete option for all SS models.

I would just offer more appearance options to the cars so we get some new looking camaros. Maybe a higher lip spoiler like the old Z/28's and Red as a racing stripe... How come red is not a stripe color??

1. Nav system (Onstar does not count)
2. Interior accent in other colors besides IOM 3. Painted stripes 4. Option to keep the polished wheels when getting ss/rs model. Its stupid to have to pay an extra $500 for a "standard" feature. 5. HUD (just because it rocks) 6. While i know something like this will never happen: A striped down preformance option. |
