Craigslist scam "Camaro 1le differential" Jacksonville
I am a fool and fell for this scam. I'm out $750 but figured I'd post a warning to maybe save someone else the trouble.
Here's the ad, it's still up: https://tampa.craigslist.org/psc/pts...917746052.html A shot of the add and the pictures he used in case it disappears and get's relisted are attached. Dude's phone # is (412) 540-5819 and he used his wife's name "Jessica Henry" and her email jessicahenry6912@gmail.com I'll be going through whatever fraud reporting process I can. Unfortunately, I'm stupid and used Zelle to send him payment since I was unable to meet in person. I know... textbook scam and I should have known better. Now I know that despite Zelle being supported directly by my bank (USAA), that there is zero protection for this situation. The money is gone. Not everyday you see a 1LE 3.91 diff for "cheap"... and I took the bait. Fair winds and following seas shipmates. |
