Ground Effects - Front Facia Extention and Side Skirts

Hey everyone! I have a 2016 SS and i want the front fascia side skirts from the ground effects package. I have seen pictures of this online and it's mentioned on the Chevy website on the build page, so i know it exists, but when i asked my dealer's parts department they had no idea what i was talking about and when i explained, they looked it up but said they can't order it. But if they can order it it will be $2,000. I only want the front and side piece from the ground effects package. Does anyone on here know availability of this or of any aftermarket non-GM front and side ground effects? Any help on this would be much appreciated! thank you!

I just ordered a 2ss last week. They called me a day later and said the ground effects package was not going through. They said if I wanted to wait until April 13th to order... that it would be available?... Maybe a stock issue? Also, they told me if I ordered it separate from the car it would cost me 4k. Not sure if this helps OP, just general info about my dealer experience. Good luck getting the front and sides, hopefully you get it worked out !

The 4K is ridiculous don't bite at it. There are a lot of GM parts houses on line with good pricing. I've also heard that the GFX should be available real soon if not now. I ordered the front splitter from GM warehouse at a great price and they have shipped already.

Doc is correct. This has been discussed many times. A search will yield the answers you are looking for.

To answer you question, there have been quality control issues and the kit is on back order until further notice (it sounds like maybe April 13th is when the kit becomes available again?). The front lip is available through vendors on this site. I believe you can also order from your local dealers parts department.

I got a shop that I go to, to install it along with some other work that I was getting done and they actually did it for free... you can do it yourself, there are tutorials on this site, but they did it for me so I don't know how much someone would charge you

April 13 is a no go. April 14 possibly but April 21 most likely.

One or two model years ago (I think one) a Z06 ground effects option for a not Z06 C7stayed on 0% constraint until the last order cycle for the model year. This is well documented in the Corvette 7 Section of the Corvette Forum. For the last ordering cycle for the model year the constraint was lifted and many, say a hundred or more, people who waited were able to get their so equipped order placed.

This example is not the first time Chevy held a demanded option in abeyance until the end of the model year and will not be the last. But if this is what you want I trust you know to find a dealer who will have allocation because available to order or not, a dealer still needs allocation to get the order through.

When I ordered my car I wanted black ground effects. So the dealer ordered them separate because they told me chevy would paint them red like the car. We knew they were and are on back order. Hopefully they come in when the car does. They told me $2200 installed

Shop Chevy Parts is where I just bought my front splitter from. Sent me an email with a shipping discount code after I registered and left the splitter in my cart because of the ridiculous shipping I didn't buy it. This made it reasonable enough for me to buy it. 201650OFFSHIP
