Hard to start 94 Z28

My sister has a 94 Z28, and it has a real problem with dying 2 or 3 times before it starts. It has a brand new fuel pump, so Im thinking its got maybe a weak injector or bad regulator? Has anyone else had a problem like this? You almost have to treat it like an old small block with a carb on a cold day and feather it until it takes off lol

Thanks

Quick thing to check is if the system is bleeding down. On your cold start, cycle the ignition switch on and leave it for a few seconds. Cycle it off then try to fire it up. If the problem goes away then the system is bleeding down due to a leaky injector(s) or fuel pressure regulator.

You really need to get a fuel pressure gauge on it though to see what's happening through the whole cycle.
