Thank you for your suggestion.

Unfortunatly we can't buy new car from the USA. At least, that's what I heard.

Becky doesn't have access to the canadian orders unfortunately. :(

I'll think of my future plan. Corvette is still an option. My dealer has a GS in store.

EDIT : Roush/Whipple supercharger are also good advice. Thanks!

-->Koldunic: Find a dealer that's willing to sell you what you want. There's no reason to have loyalty to a bad dealer.

I am not certain if there are complications for her to sell to a customer in Canada. You probably already know that Detroit is across the river from Windsor, Ontario. In the picture below, Detroit is to the right, Windsor to the left. Make the trip and stop at the casinos in Windsor, then bring your winnings over and try your luck in the casinos in Detroit.
let me help by saying a USA dealer cannot sell new to a Canadian customer or they get shut down by chev or gm.

Just curious but why is ZL1 option out the window? You said that you would be interested in buying a 2SS/1LE and supercharging it... That would be the same price as a ZL1 if not more and with a voided warranty. IMO the ZL1 is the best looking camaro. But I do agree that the corvette could be a better option as you can get some crazy deals right now with dealers having 2017, 2018, and 2019 models on their lots.

If you have a Grand Sport Corvette as an option, do that. It's a great car from what I understand. More refined interior, all the handling of the Z06, not to mention the targa top on those perfect weather days.

It may have the same LT1 engine in the SS, but given the weight difference and drive line difference, especially between it and the Mustang, you'll most likely be very satisfied.

SS 1LE and never look back! You wont regret it! World class handling and the low end torque makes a significant difference in feel compared to the mustang!

There is a 2018 2SS 1LE at my dealer. Is it a good option for me?

I never tried a Camaro and they won't let me try in winter.

Keep in mind I moved up from a Mazda 2 to a GT PP so the step was enormous.

Thank you very much,

Koldunic
The 2018 SS1LE is light years better in every respect compared to your 2016 GT pp car. Its even way better than the 2018 GT PP1 car.

It was a monster. The Whipple tune is so good, it drives as good as stock, if not better. It feels like a normal car until you put your foot down, then the beast is unleashed. I was still able to get 20+ mpg on road trips, and it's smog legal. Just with the CARB legal tune, my car put down 656 to the wheels. One of the reasons I got the ZL1 was because I wanted the 10 speed auto. I am considering whipple'ing it as well though

You have more options for intercoolers and stuff, and you don't have to chop your strut brace like with the Roush. I'd highly recommend it.

Could happen...where in Canadia (what my kids call your country) do you live? I have history in two border towns, Buffalo (Fort Erie / Niagara Falls) and Detroit (Windsor) and spend a lot of time on 401 driving between the two. We could rope in CamaroMike who lives near Windsor and have a little Fifty-Fest.

Better yet, go to the Windsor 'ballet', and blow all your money on lap dances.

Seems my best option is either a SS 1LE or a C7 GS. Both are available locally.

I'll think about it. Thanks all!

Wait for the weather to warm up and then test drive the 1LE. If it's not enough of a jump in performance, then look at the Grand Sport and ZL1.

<--- Take it from someone who owned a Mustang and a Camaro.... If your trading in a 2016 mustang your going to take it in the shorts!!!!!! The money you will lose pays for that supercharger for your stang.. If you just want fun around town or the drag strip.. Keep ur stang get it supercharged or turbo charged add drag radials and you got a fun ride that will still turn heads.. Your a idiot to trade in a 2016 mustang gt for a 2017 camaro 1le unless you are rich or plan on being competitive in the local autocross events. Every month when I write a check to the bank for my overpriced camaro as I took it in the shorts doing what you plan on doing I ask myself what was i thinking.. I traded in a 2015 car at the time to special order my 2016 2ss
