WHAT ABOUT THE SPARE!!!

So I have a 2ss/rs and I have no spare tire, just the air compressor that came with the car. I am assuming that this is the case for most people and I was just wondering are you guys caring a spare anyways or are you just going to chance it and use the compressor if you have to and then call roadside assistance. I thought it was weird the a $40,000 car didn't come with a spare. Kinda makes me nervous and I'm sure I'm not the only one.

Reason for no spare is because of the Size of wheel vs the brake caliper size. a donut tire wouldn't fit.

Only vehicles I've known of that give you an actual full size OEM tire as a spare is Trucks & Suv's

Besides the compressor there is a can of tire sealant. Not worth reinflating if you don't plug the hole somehow.

Less weight and allows for better weight distribution by housing the battery in the trunk.

The spare tire is an option for an extra $150 (at least on the LT models, don't know about the SS).

There is no spare tire option for the SS.

Even in a LS, 1LT or a 2LT that has the optional spair tire the battery is still in the trunk under the tire.

You guys should read up on your tire warranty from pirelli, once you use that sealant you might as well buy a new tire...

Not if you have Brembo brakes. Another reason why they went with 20" wheels on my SS/RS; fitment issues. The spare won't work.

thanks everyone for clearing this up for me. It's still kinda nerve racking if you go on a long trip or even just want to go away for the weekend to be on the road without a spare. But I guess that is what Onstar is for. It will just suck having to wait for someone.
