so aggravating After i left murrays yesterday . My son insisted on riding home with the windows down and i was a bit chilly . So i go to turn on the heat and once again my car will not switch the position of the vents (stuck in floor and normal) and will not give me any heat. I pulled over messed with it for about 5 mins and nothing would fix it (even pounding on the dash in anger!) . So i give up drive home. About 30 mins after getting home i go back out there just to test it again and its working fine. This is the second time this has happened.

Durning the summer one morning trying to defrost my windshield and i discovered the issue.
The first time I drove it to the dealership. I never turned the car off or anything . Had the service adviser come out and witness the issue . Turned the car off . They wrote up the paperwork had a guy from rental place come get me and just as we were leaving. The service guy drove back up in my car and said its working fine now. They kept the car for the day and basically said they could not figure out anything wrong with it.

Not sure what else to do . When its something that does not happen very often. It happens when i try to use the heat. :(

In need of some help gentlemen...I'm debating between two exhaust systems and can't decide which to go with. My options are the SLP LM1 axleback or the Cherry Bomb Extreme Series Catback. Any thoughts?

Maybe once I get the exhaust done I won't be too embarrassed of the stock sound and will make it out to one of the cruises haha.

Are you automatic? If you want an axle back, I would just do a muffler delete locally. Same thing with less money. Rainbow Muffler on Phillips does it with Borla double chrome tips for $150-$200 dollars while you wait.

That's exactly what I did, and I love the sound of my car. Come out and take a listen!

Does that mean taking the mufflers out and install straight pipe instead?

I live right near Steelshark and although I don't make it to as many as he does I still try to make all the ones that my schedule will permit no matter the location. It's a lot of fun even if it takes a little while to get there.

I had my factory mufflers replaced with flowmasters and reused the factory tips for like $280. I love the sound of mine. When the afm kicks on its not ricey but when I get in it it is plenty loud for me.

If I was going to do my exhaust again from stock I would just do electric dumps! Its loud when you want to be loud and quiet when you need to be quiet!

I had a question that hopefully you guys might know. I have a 2011 Camaro 2SS and was doing my research in regards to a muffler delete. I am going to provide a link to this youtube video that shows the mechanic messing with the muffler valves and not cutting the pipes and had the same affect. Do you guys know anything about this? Also, its only with the new 2011 models. This seems like a cheaper way to go other than cutting the mufflers. Let me know what you guys think please?! Thanks

Did he have headers? If so, headers make it a lot louder (too loud for me for driving). I have been there and done that. If you have stock manifold and cats, the sound is about perfect for a manual v-8 or auto v-8 without AFM by cutting off the mufflers. In an automatic V-8, the AFM (running on 4 cylinders) kinda sounds like crap with louder exhaust. that is alos why I asked if he was auto or manual.
