OP I've had the same thing happen to me with the Stabilitrak. I talked to onstar about it and said there might a plug loose where it connects to the computer that controls that stuff?
I never took it to the dealer, but haven't had anyting happen from it either. I have an 11 LS |

Thanks Ruby. I have noticed that in "D" that it sometimes wants to try it's best to pull around in the highest gear possible and it lugs down some. I do drive in "S" quite a bit but have noticed that it will do it in this mode also. Oh well, I will let the geeks at the dealer hook their wonders to it and see what is going on.

Let us know how things go for you PitchBlack. I hope it's a quick stay at the dealer and you can get back to enjoying your Camaro.

Thanks Jeff. Took her to the dealer early this morning. The guy at the front desk was nice and said that it sounded to him that the tranny may need to be reprogrammed, or a torque converter. We will see.

Just picked up from dealer. It's a torque converter issue.
This is surprising as I have not driven her hard at all. Of course I realize that it's a man made item and anything can happen. Anyway, its under warranty and they said it would be about 5-7 working days to get the new converter in and they assured me I can drive it without worrying about hurting anything until the part comes in.

It really was a torque converter issue? Believe it or not, I'm happy to hear that; I have the _EXACT_ same issue with my 2SS auto. I even got the tranny guy to say "Yeah it sounds like a torque converter problem" But I just got it back from the dealer with a piece of paper saying it was normal operation.
Maybe I can use this thread as some ammo to force my dealer to take action. With my car it's to the point where I'm almost ready to just give up and sell it. A $32k car shouldn't feel like a drunken 12 year old is driving a manual. Edit: I'm going to take it to another dealer just to see if I get the same balogna response from them too. I love(d) this car... I really just want this to go away so I can go back to loving every minute I'm driving it... :( |

I'm sorry to hear your having some of the same issues South. Your right, a car of this caliber should not be doing this at such low mileage.
Good luck and let us know how things turn out.
