Michelin Super Sport
Thinking about buying a set of Michelin Pilot Super Sport (not Pilot Sport) tires for the rear of my ZL1. Anyone have any experience with these tires? Also, if anyone has put a set on their ZL1, did you attempt to go wider than the stock 305? The tires also come in 315 and 345 sizes.

I think the only advantage is the ability to have wet traction. Tire Rack surveyed these tires and were great in the wet. Goodyear's not so much.

295's and 315'S on mine since the first day. Love them and they were great on track day (road racing). The only wet they have seen is from a hose.

Michelin Super Sport tires, from what I've heard and experienced, are far superior to other tires currently sold today. They last longer than the old Michelin PS2's, but they have superior grip in dry and wet, they're quiet, they're comfortable, they have everything, but they are pretty expensive for a set of huge tires. I often see them close to $400 per tire.

These are great tires. # 1 in our testing and surveys. Also top pick by Car and Driver magazine. When it comes to a combination of dry, wet/grip, ride/noise comfort and treadlife there is not better tire out there. These also have a $70 rebate at this time. See our website for full details.

How's the clearance on the front and rear? Thinking of using this combo on 20x10 & 20x11.5 on 1" drop with Pedders XAs. |

I know you probably want to go wider but i thought they offer the OEM size at least on the front, dont they? (285/35R20)

I have a friend running these on his Z06 vette and he is very happy with them. He has had them for 8000 miles and he drives his car like a vette. He races his car at the track also.
He owns the repair shop that does the repair on my cars and trucks. These are what he recommended for the havoc wheels I am putting on my car. Based on how much he liked his tires.

I believe they do have 285, but curious about clearance and tire fit on the wider combo. I was thinking of using 295 on the rear, but my 11.5" may be a bit stretched. 295 all around is another possibility.

I have them and love them. Amazing traction and do great on the track. A 295 is the same width as a 315 nitto tire so the sizing is a little off compared to other tires. I have 275 front and 295 rear.

There's simply no better tire available right now than the super sports that do it all. Only a dedicated track tire is going to perform better but you'll sacrifice a lot for every day driving.

I'm running the 315s on 10.5 rims rear. With a traction rating of 9.6 they are like DRs. They measure wider like 325s. Handle great. At $500 each they better.Love them and will buy again
