red halos on black concept

Not legal. with the halos being so different, different colors would stand out and you would be pulled over in a heart beat and be made to switch it back

I bet you could get away with the yellow or even the orange, depending on why you were pulled over. If you just got stopped for that, and weren't a tool. Now if you are ripping down some residential street doing burn-outs at every corner, that may be a tougher sell.

I just had a thought. What if you attached the red Halos either inside the OEM clear or outside the OEM clear and with a flip of a switch your black unassuming Camaro turned into an intimidating red eyed beast. I’ll bet it would work. That’d keep them pesky cops away.

that person in the second post had a link to halo lights that you can turn on and off with the flick of a switch ...

now why is this so illegal when i see people driving around with neon blue headlights and neon yellow headlights and thats not illegal... or people who have flashing neon color lights on the bottom trim of their car at night.... i think that would be more distracting...

I think distraction may be a factor but not the only factor.

Red is also the universal color for stop.. Also, I think jealously plays a small part - some cops may think it looks cool but....

as with any other lights on car or motorcycle... most states have laws that say no BLUE or RED LEDs or lights on bikes and cars... those colors are reserved for emergency vehicles...

I think orange would be to close to red..

How can you order the red halo rings. What kind of package is that.

I'm pretty sure that you can't order that from GM. From the research that I've done, the HID/HALO's aren't new to the automotive scene, so get online and google them. Eventually you'll come across something, but I'm pretty sure that most places allow you to buy just the replacement bulbs versus the entire package. I know I found one vendor that was selling them for $20.00 a piece, which I would guess is decent. Hope that helps!

It's not a gm option please search, they aren't street legal. It will be aftermarket option at your own risk of legality.
