The deal was too hard to pass up. Had them upgrade me to their long block kit.
TMS edition Frankenstien Engine Dynamics M311 cnc’d 6 bolt heads with the stainless valves, .660 platinum springs, ARP studs, TMS high rpm lifters and guides, pushrods, comp upgraded rockers.

I questioned the comp rocker trunion upgrade. Asked why not a bushing kit. They said they havent had any failures and will warranty the motor for 1300hp for 12 months. Kinda hard to argue with that....

Pretty excited as this is first time I have purchased a motor instead of building it myself.[/QUOTE]

I have the same engine on order myself. These should be bulletproof. The only thing I didn't ask about, was upgrading to the shaft rockers. I had the short block upgraded to their 1800 hp setup. I now wonder if the shaft setup would be worth the money, that and maybe the 1/2" head studs.

I havent seen an 1800 hp package, but I did speak to Dustin about possibly upgrading to their 1500, which is basically adding a callies CCW crank and Carrillo Bullet rods. Lets just say he has guys pushing these (even with the K1 crank) to 1700whp in turbo apps. I decided to save my money.

Waiting will be the hard part.

eleSthree,

What you are buying you can put the boost to with confidence.... Glad your shortblock found a new home... LS3 with a road racing cam is a potent combination.

I'd be wanting inconel or equivalent exhaust valves. I would not do a turbo setup with regular stainless valves.

eLeSthree look up their Outlaw 1800HP short block. They don't list this one in their long blocks. You can upgrade their long blocks with any of their short blocks.

I used the Manley severe duty Stainless valves...$270 for a set of exhaust. Manley extreme duty a $100 more.

"Ultimate tensile strength of XH-428 (severe duty material) at 1500°F is nearly double the competitors’ EV-8."

The 1800hp option is listed under their shortblock aftermarket block section.

Some different brands do claim their own special materials, Ferrea call theirs a Super Alloy.

But like your Manley's, they're over and above the regular stainless valve offerings.
But they're all in the inconel range of materials.

That is what I figured their own "exotic" blend of iconel.

Are you guys saying not to run boost on these stainless valves?

No, just get the upgraded stainless. The Manley extreme duty stainless is for top alcohol and top fuel.

For comfort call Frankenstein and check on the valves the 11deg heads come with and what boost levels he recommends for them.

Boost, and turbocharged are different matters.

But the severe duty are not regular stainless valves, yes would be perfectly fine.

Many will use regular cheap stainless valves and are probably fine. I just would not do it myself on a turbo application.
