Kooks Spark Plug Wires

Hey y'all,

I am looking to replace my plug wires when I do my header install. I know the OEM wires are perfectly fine, but I would like to replace them with a set that are more heat resistant and have more clearance around the headers.

It looks like Kooks has branded a set of their own that look very similar to Granatellis, but are way more cost effective. https://kooksheaders.com/plug-wires-ls-car

What do y'all think? Anyone have a set of these?

What made you choose the Taylors over OEM?

For concerns re: heat and mounting well around headers, I use Accell Ceramics. 9004C's.

I went with the Taylor's over OEM because I was doing a color theme under the hood and they had red ones I could get to go with the RJT, plus they were thicker diameter than OEM and just would look "beefier" under there. They fit great and never move and clear the header tubes nicely. You can't see them but here is an underhood shot.

These look appealing, but I have heard some bad things about Accel quality that has kept me from seriously considering them. You are pleased with these? Did you test the resistance on them?

Sweet. Was there a difference in performance after the swap?

No issues with them. They work just fine and have no melting issues on the LTs.

No, no personal testing was done.
