(Event) Montauk Cruise August 2, 2009 - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

We are trying to get a cruise going to Montauk Point on Sunday, Aug. 2. There will be cars meeting at the Bellmore Train Station at 8AM and then we will leave from there at 8:15 SHARP. We will then drive to the Suffolk county pickup point to meet our eastern counterparts at 9AM on Sunrise Highway (site to be determined). We will then leave from there.

The hope is that there will be Camaro's, Corvette's and who knows what else. We will then have a nice lunch out in Montauk and then people can do what they wish from there.

If you would like to join, just add your name to this thread. We know there will be at least 4 of us cruising out and we have added this to the Corvette Forum as well. Feel free to bring your better half or kids or both.

The only catch is if it rains, we're not going.

See you on the 2nd of August!

Let me know if the date changes for any reason. I promised the kids I would put the camaro in the local sayville summerfest car show that date.

Right now a big rally is in the works to run out from Southampton - Montauk Pt. then back to Sag Harbor and lunch is included. Details should be announced later this week, just finalizing the parking situation in Sag Harbor. We were looking at August 2nd, for our rally, but it may be pushed back a couple weeks due to the amount of time needed to promote once details are finalized.

Guys, Waverly is Exit 52 off Sunrise Highway not 62.

I'll go if my M6 2SS/RS gets out of QC by then. Its been built for 2 weeks and sitting in Area 51 since.

I should have my car by August 2nd. Its shipped and almost to the dealer. I can't wait. Christmas is coming...LOL
